BACKGROUND AND INSPIRATION
Artistic Vision

Born and raised in Cagliari in the mid-1980s, I grew up in the San Michele neighborhood, one of the most dangerous areas of the city at the time. From a young age, I was deeply intrigued by stories hidden in the shadows, inspired by urban life and the aesthetics of the 1990s. As a child, I collected Escher’s books, mesmerized by his masterful use of light and shadow, as well as postcards of Iron Maiden artworks, drawn to their bold and impactful visuals.
My initial interest in photography was sparked by post-production. I was fascinated by the idea of altering, painting, and distorting reality through images. Along the way, I studied many photographers, but Alfred Stieglitz had the most profound influence on me. His pioneering work in pictorial photography became a crucial reference point, shaping and inspiring many of my artistic projects.
